BAINBRIDGE HIGH FFA RECOGNIZED AS 2009 OUTSTANDING FFA CHAPTER.
Bainbridge High FFA was recognized as the outstanding Chapter in Area 5 at the recent Area FFA Banquet held in Tifton. The Outstanding Chapter Award is given annually to the chapter that excels in FFA activities on the local, state, and national levels. The chapter that receives this recognition goes beyond the call of duty and represents well rounded programs.
During the course of the year, Bainbridge High FFA was recognized on the national level for having top scholars in the program and was awarded a two year lease from Ford Motor Company on a new F250 to be used for chapter activities. The Agricultural Communications Team and the Nursery Landscape Team placed first in area competition and competed on the state level. Sara Beth Pelham served as an Area Officer representing Area 5. Bainbridge High FFA Chapter had many teams participate in career development events and leadership events. Additionally, the livestock show team represented the chapter well at many livestock events throughout the state this year bringing home many championships with all species of livestock shown. Being selected as outstanding chapter for 2009 was icing on the cake for a successful year!
BAINBRIDGE FFA HAS THREE STUDENTS SELECTED FOR SCHOLARSHIPS THROUGH THE NATIONAL FFA FOUNDATION. Audrey Davis received a $1500 scholarship, Allyson Lumpkin received a $1000 scholarship, and Alyson Pittman received a $5000 scholarship.
