| When switching to Hunter's Special Hi Energy Formula from another dog food, allow 7 to 10 days for the transition. Mix increasing amounts of Hi Energy Formula with decreasing amounts of your dog's previous food until you are feeding only Hi Energy Formula. WEANING. Start puppies on moistened Hi Energy Formula as soon as they begin to nibble solid food. GROWING. Keep Hi Energy Formula before puppies at all times. REPRODUCTION. Food consumption may vary throughout gestation and lactation. During gestation, feed the amount to maintain the weight of the pregnant female. During lactation, feed 3 to 4 times normal intake.
