ClariFly® is the larvicide in FRM Super Milk Replacer with Deccox® for fly control.

Your calves are the future of your operation.  You want to keep them peaceful and productive when feeding.  ClariFly® Larvicide helps prevent nuisance flies from developing into breeding adults that can spread disease and irritate your calves to the point of affecting nutritional intake.  You can feel comfortable using ClariFly® Larvicide for your calves because it works by interrupting the fly's life cycle, rather than through direct toxicity.  When mixed into milk replacer, ClariFly® Larvicide functions as a feed-through passing through the digestive system and into the manure where nuisance flies lay their eggs.

The active ingredient in ClariFly® Larvicide, Diflubenzuron, is considered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to pose a low risk to human health and non-target organisms.  ClariFly® Larvicide is an ideal fly control choice for today's environmentally conscious operator.

  • ClariFly® Larvicide helps control house and stable flies in areas populated by dairy calves.
  • ClariFly® Larvicide in a milk replacer has no withdrawal requirements.

Q.What species of animals can be fed ClariFly® Larvicide?
A.ClariFly® Larvicide is labeled for lactating and non-lactating beef and dairy cows, slaughter, stocker and feeder cattle and calves including veal calves.
Q.What is the approved cattle dose?
A.The dosage is proportional to the animal's weight.  The recommended dosage for cattle is 0.10 mg/kg of body weight per day.
Q.When should I start feeding ClariFly® Larvicide - when should I stop?
A.Start feeding ClariFly® Larvicide early in the spring, 30 days before flies begin to appear, and continue feeding throughout the summer and into fall, until 30 days past first frost to minimize the number of over-wintering pupae.  If flies are already present, begin feeding ClariFly® Larvicide in conjunction with approved fly adulticide products until the population of flies is under control.
